Mount Bigelow (also called the Bigelow Range and Bigelow Mountain) is a long mountain ridge with several summits.It is located in Franklin County and Somerset County, Maine.It is one of Maine's highest summits. A day hike to Bigelow Mountain’s Avery Peak and West Peak via the Fire Warden Trail, possibly in conjunction with the Appalachian Trail and the Horns Pond Trail as a loop hike, is a sure-bet treasured experience for the memory bank. The Bigelow Preserve is a public land managed for multiple uses including wildlife and timber management along with its recreational uses.
